Launch Of The Britannic (1914)

HMHS Britannic. Location, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Very good footage of the launching of the SS Brittanic. CU ship moving past on rt. Pan over deck; a few guys working; smoke coming from something; cranes; etc. In distance. Shot looking along side of ship as she moves away; this time from high enough to show several people waving from upper deck and from windows on lower decks. CU ship’s hull; moving away on the slipway; past scaffolding on side. DS (from slightly raised position) group of 15-20 workers on a part of the deck; w/ funnel being lowered over them. (This part is excellent & fairly clean.) CU the workers reaching up; moving funnel above their heads into position. GV part of ship w/ 2 huge pipes.
