[FULL ALBUM BASS COVER] Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Signal Chain:
Josh DuBois - LaBella RX-S4D Stainless Steel Strings - Spector Ethos HP 4 (with EMG Pickups, of course) - Radial JD7 - GK Fusion 800S
Bass onboard EQ set flat, amp settings shown for each song.
In case you’re wondering, the JD7 was used to record a direct signal then later used to reamp that signal into the GK Fusion 800S. When you only have 2 days to record and shoot a whole album of bass covers, time is precious. Plus, tuning to the correct pitch took long enough as it was (it’s 425Hz, by the way). Reamping the direct signal allowed me (Chris) to take my time in dialing in what I thought to be the best tone to fit each song. No other pedals were used, just the amp with the settings shown.
