A subscriber asked me to make something related to German Panzerzüge - armored trains - and here we go. I’ll be producing a series of videos that will focus on an important collection of originals containing material about Panzerzug Nr. 3 that had been unknown until now. The first video in the series will be built around a translation of a combat report on operations in the polish campaign written by Panzerzug 3’s commander Rudoin Zettler. Then in follow up videos we’ll cover an in-depth report Zettler wrote in 1940 about the use of armored trains. Today, as an introduction to this unique collection, we’ll focus on Zettler’s military resume and end the video with some more nice combat footage of an armored train in Russia from 1942, so stick around.
