Opeth - Bleak - drum cover

Another Opeth cover from the album Blackwater Park. This song is called Bleak and was played by Martin Lopez on drums. There are many things I love about this song. It has a lot of chill parts where you can just close your eyes and vibe with the song. I had them closed for almost the entirety of the song :’) Also there’s Steven Wilson singing in this track and that’s wonderful. I love his music. And that ending is simply crushing I love it. The main difficulty with this song is as always the 10 minutes factor, the dynamic range required to play an Opeth song and so many small details to remember. I completely forgot a fill at some point but didn’t really care. As long as I was still in the song and vibing that’s the most important for me. This was my very first take. I was really stressed about this one so when I got it on the first take I had to let the emotions out. As always with Opeth hahahah These are some of my favorite covers to make.
