Tens of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets after Israeli lawmakers passed a bill that would strip the country’s Supreme Court of its power to declare government actions “unreasonable“. Protesters were blasted with ’skunk-scented’ water cannons as they lined streets in Tel Aviv, Mediterranean beaches and in front of Jerusalem’s Supreme Court.
