Germany warns Ukraine against attack on Russian soil; U-turn after calling strikes ’fully normal’

Germany has shocked Ukraine with its warning against Kyiv’s anti-Russia action. The German Chancellor has registered his protest against Ukrainian attacks on Russian soil by saying that Germany does not allow Kyiv to target Russian territory with weapons that Berlin has supplied. The statement is a U-turn of sorts from what the German defence minister said last month. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said that it was ’fully normal’ for Ukraine to carry out strikes inside Russia to ’cut supply routes’ and for other military reasons.
