Out Now: Production powerhouses Sacha Robotti and Sian aka Third Culture serve up a powerful new EP for Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantic. Between them this pair have established it all in underground dance music. Irish-born Sian has been head of the Octopus imprint and its subsidiaries since 2007, and in that time has helped shaped the sound of techno. Sacha is the German-Italian producer, formerly one half of Robosonic, who has been crafting dance floor fire for almost two decades on the likes of Dirtybird, Nervous and Desert Hearts. As Third Culture the pair has released on labels like Diynamic and now come through for Maceo Plex’s celebrated imprint. Opener ’U Move’ is a gritty electro-tech cut with slapping analogue drum funk and a vocoder vocal up top.
