As opposed to the beliefs of many people, the oldest known language is infact Vedic Sanskrit and not Prakrit. Prakrit was not just one language, it was a set of languages called the “Prakrits”. These languages emerged later near the first millennium BC. Every language in India has emerged from the Prakrits, which initially emerged from Sanskrit. These two were extremely similar. Chances are if you understand Sanskrit or even Hindi, you will understand Prakrit. All this makes Prakrit the daughter language of Sanskrit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - About: The Abhijit Chavda channel is an expansive library of content that uncovers the ‘HIDDEN TRUTH’ and offers a fascinating insight into ancient history, astrophysics, geopolitics, and science.
