Led by saxophonist Sonny Stitt, the musicians, who all had performed regularly with Parker, perform a number of songs the man known as “Bird“ made famous including “My Little Suede Shoes,“ “Buzzy,“ and “Now’s the Time.“ The first program was broadcast as the “In Memoriam Charlie Parker“ program in Berlin, Germany, on September 26, 1964. The second was broadcast in London, England, on October 18, 1964.
