The Atlantis of Lake Mead - St Thomas Nevada

Submerged under Lake Mead in 1938, St. Thomas, Nevada laid quietly under 60 feet of water until 1952 and again in 1965 when it briefly dried out enough for the former residents to hold a reunion there. Seven more times between 1938 and 2002, the waters receded enough that it could be seen. But since 2002 St. Thomas has arisen and will probably never be absorbed by the waters of Lake Mead which is draining faster than it can be filled. The waters edge is now 10 miles south.
