Capitola uses augmented reality to take museum-goers inside Rembrandt painting
Visitors to the Mauritshuis museum in The Hague can now use their smartphones to experience Rembrandt van Rijn’s 17th century painting The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp in augmented reality, thanks to Dutch design agency Capitola.
To mark 350 years since the passing of 17th century Dutch painter Rembrandt, Capitola created the Rembrandt Reality app that uses augmented reality to let people “step inside“ one of the artist’s most famous paintings.
