Composer: Adam Clarke Perfomers: Julia Trintschuk and Danguolė Lingytė Sound engineer: Jesus Serrano Huitron ADAM CLARKE ABOUT MLADOST Mladost IV for guitar duet was composed between 2019 - 2020, commissioned on behalf of the Lithuanian guitarist Danguolė Lingytė, and is dedicated to herself and German- Ukrainian guitarist Julia Trintschuk. Prior to composing Mladost IV I spent some time in the Balkans, having performed, travelled, and researched primarily in Bulgaria. It was during these trips I developed a passion for eastern-European folk music and dances. I learned to play the gaida (bagpipes), and spent time learning about vocal traditions. In the similar light my first introduction to Baltic music was only just recently and was through Danguolė herself; two Lithuanian tunes - “Saulala motulala“ , “Užtekėk“, & “Devynios liepos“.
