Live worm found in Australian woman’s brain - BBC News

An 8cm (3in) worm has been found alive in the brain of an Australian woman. In a world first, the creature was pulled from the woman’s damaged frontal lobe during surgery, after she had been suffering an “unusual constellation of symptoms“ – including stomach pain, a cough and night sweats, evolving into increasing forgetfulness and depression. Doctors said the parasite could have been there for up to two months. Please subscribe here: #Parasite #Australia #BBCNews
