David Bowie ’Abdulmajid’

Named in honour of Bowie’s 2nd wife, Iman Mohammad Abdulmajid, the backing track for this Bowie/Eno instrumental was recorded in Berlin in 1977 but was shelved until 1991 when it was reworked and completed for inclusion on the Ryko reissue of ’Heroes’. Despite its relative obscurity, Philip Glass incorporated the piece into his ’Heroes’ Symphony (1996).
