Introducing: Hurts

Hurts are Theo Hutchcraft (vocals) and Adam Anderson (guitars, synths), who met while their mates were brawling outside a Manchester club. Initially forming glam-pop group and industry-hyped Daggers, the duo realised they wanted to pull back and retain more control of their look and sound. They retreated to Germany and Italy where they perfected their own take on Disco Lento: mainstream pop with a dark undertone. Since posting the original video to “Wonderful Life“ on their YouTube channel just 12 months ago, Hurts have become one of the most talked about bands of the year. The £80 video - £20 of which went on the unknown dancer they found via an advert in the local post office - sparked excitement not only in the music industry, but also with fans of all ages across the internet.
