Mwamwa is self-discovery through music creation, a laboratory of unpredictable sound experimentation where complex patterns, generative synthesis techniques and asymmetrical structures would be present, as well as compositional resources, counterpoint and irregular time signatures; looking to achieve an ethereal style with techno, jungle and idm predominance, but also exploring many other possibilities. It is a space of resistance to everyday’s vicissitudes and homologous hegemonic currents, a space of rebellion against predefined orders. It is the search for answers to anxious questions and the space for the necessary catharsis that avoids losing our sanity; it is a walk-through the innermost recesses of our thoughts and emotions: those that were oppressed and denied by the prevailing wave of positivity that society expects from us, those that we are not allowed to express outside the couch. It is a crossing point between philosophy, art and science, which creates small moments of maximized reality that take us beyond the limits of our imagination. It’s a political statement for freedom.
