Driving from Italy 🇮🇹 to Switzerland 🇨🇭 via Val Veddasca and across the Alpe di Neggia mountain pass

Today we drive from Luino in Italy to Magadino in Switzerland, both cities are on Lago Maggiore (Lake Maggiore). As many times before, we won’t take the easy road. A few miles after Luino, we take a right turn and start our ascend up the Val Veddasca (Vedasca Valley). Val Veddasca is impressing us with its natural beautiful scenic views, small towns, and narrow winding roads with its hairpin turns. We continue following the Valley north bound, and cross the quiet Italian-Swiss border somewhere out in the middle of the forest. After a drive time of 1 Hour and 10 Minutes, we cross the Alpe di Neggia mountain pass at and elevation of 1,395 meters, and start our steep descent down to the Lago Maggiore.
