Queen In Coco’s Isles (1954)

QUEEN IN COCO’S ISLES. Small groups of Coco’s Island residents sitting around in the shade, they look very Indonesian and are holding Union Jack flags. Two men wear their traditional clothing and hats. Views across water to flat palm tree shoreline. A line of huts on stilts over the sea. A group of mothers and children with flags wait for the Queen. A line of neat huts, chickens peck at coconuts. Large groups of people sit and stand waiting. Elizabeth and Philip arrive walking with entourage. They are presented with model sailing boats. The Royal party get onto a launch and leave the quayside. Aircraft carrier and frigate at sea the decks are lined with sailors, overhead a fly past of eleven planes. More shots of ships at sea, a life boat with the name “Gothic“. Distant view of Coco’s islands from the sea. A Slipper launch arrives at the islands quayside and Elizabeth and Philip step ashore.
