London Overground trains on the East London line – Part 1

Link to Part 2: Today we are back in London to take a look at the East London line. It is a railway line running north to south just east of the City of London from Highbury & Islington via Shoreditch, Whitechapel, and the Docklands to New Cross. Until 2007 this line was part of the London Underground, where it was operated by subsurface Metropolitan line stock. When the line closed, it was extensively refurbished and reopened in 2010 as part of the London Overground network.
