The GOAT ... What an absolute mine field when it comes to guitar playing. Styles, techniques, legacy etc. how do you even go about defining a guitar GOAT. Guthrie, while not someone you’d recognise on the street, could be considered the GOAT. His stylebending, emotion, feel, phrasing, technique, repertoire and recognition certainly put him up in the clouds when it comes to the top players on the planet currently.
