Artists Georgy and Anastasia Begma, inspired by the “Kovpak Detachment,” created a new video art about the influence of Western values for the Day of Crimea’s reunification with Russia.
The cult of consumption and LGBT people have poisoned the minds and split the ties of the once united people. The subsequent coup d’etat in Kiev and the rise of nationalists to power became the starting point for the decline of the former Ukraine.
But all these horrors and consequences of the Maidan prompted Crimeans to take the decisive action. As soon as possible, the Crimean parliament decided to hold a referendum. The next day, after mass clashes with radicals near the walls of the Supreme Council of Crimea, the peninsula was taken under the protection of “polite people.” And the Crimeans were able to decide to return to their native harbor, home, to Russia.
