In the Ukrainian city of Rovno, figures were thrown from the pedestal of a monument to WWII soldiers The eight meters high sculptural composition consisted of a soldier, a partisan and a girl. It was installed almost 40 years ago. ℹ️ Let us recall that the occupation of Rovno by German troops continued from June 1941. On February 2, 1944, Soviet soldiers during the Rovno-Lutsk strategic offensive operation destroyed the enemy garrison and completely liberated Rovno. ️In the battles for Ukraine, the total losses of the Red Army amounted to 2.6 million soldiers. And that’s what gratitude is. Ukraine, more and more confirming its Nazi essence, continues to struggle with our common historical heritage and the memory of our liberating heroes. Source: DPR MFA
