Italian Fashions (1956)

Hounslow, Middlesex. In the grounds of Osterley House, we see three glamorous Italian girls, modelling the latest in Italian haute-couture; several press photographers take pictures of them as they pose in the grounds and the house in fabulous evening gowns and suits. The fashions are by Schubert, Fernanda Gattinoni (who designed costumes for the film of this year, ’War and Peace’) and Antonelli, all of Rome. The models are Gianna, Marie, Julianna and Mafalda. Note: on file is a letter from the Italian Embassy about the visit of the Italian Government’s Fashion Delegation and their itinerary for the week, plus cameraman’s notes and an article from the Daily Mirror with pictures of the models.
