One night in Paris | French pension riots documentary

Paris is burning. Weekly protest marches draw millions of demonstrators. General strikes halt transport, bin collection, education. The streets of the French capital are piled high with rubbish - until protesters set the refuse alight. There are violent street clashes, between the police, anti-fascists and the far right. In one night nearly 500 people were arrested. It started with pension reform, but is spiralling into something much bigger. Provoking questions about democracy, police brutality, and the very nature of what it means to be French.
