At the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute’s drifting station “North Pole-41,“ polar explorers celebrated National Flag Day by unfurling a Russian tricolor measuring 1,423 square meters. The event took place on a safe section of the Arctic Ocean’s ice field. Twenty-four polar explorers from the ice-resistant platform “North Pole“ and the scientific vessel “Akademik Treshnikov“ were transported to the site using two flights of the Ka-32 helicopter. The polar explorers organized a joyful flash mob to extend their congratulations to all Russians on this special day.
