Lea & Perrins SORTED - The history of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce

Subscribe to the Lea & Perrins channel HERE: The SORTED food guys arrive in the home of the famous Lea & Perrins sauce, Worcester! Where they aim to uncover the rich history of the Worcestershire sauce at the original Lea & Perrins factory. The team will learn how the sauce is made and aim to uncover the closely guarded ’secret ingredient’ that is within every bottle. Barry begins with a factory tour which starts in the cellar of the Lea & Perrins factory, where hundreds of barrels containing garlic and onions are stored in malt vinegar for 18 months to begin the rich and distinct flavour of the Worcestershire sauce. As Barry helps with the barrel stock take and finds out more about the initial process, Jamie has the easy and more enjoyable job of tasting the final product to establish what flavour combinations they will use to inspire their recipes back at the SORTED kitchen later on. Whilst the other two are busy at the factory, Mike takes a trip around Worcester, to soak up some of the local sights, learns some facts about the city and asks some locals what they think the sauce could contain. The answers are, pretty imaginative... For more from Lea & Perrins Website: YouTube: For more from SORTED food YouTube: Website: Facebook: Twitter:
