Smart Home Device Design and WiFi Connectivity Using EM Simulation
Recent advances in smart devices and communication technologies offer a variety of innovative smart home solutions. The smart home concept includes establishing reliable links between various devices including speakers, thermostats, doorbells, and cameras.
This webinar demonstrates the strengths of Remcom’s XFdtd and Wireless InSite in analyzing the performance of a wireless fidelity smart speaker (access point, or “AP”) used for home networking and a generic remote camera that provides video surveillance around the house for security monitoring. These user devices are designed in XF with the intent of connecting to a WiFi system that covers the a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards at frequencies of 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz. The WiFi system includes two multiband conformal antennas that transmit the high-resolution video.
Wireless InSite is then used to perform a throughput analysis of the array(s) created in XF in the indoor smart home scenario. This covers a variety of Wireless InSite’s capabilities, including i
