Heavy winter storm in Ohio! The city of Chardon lived up to its name of “heart of the snow belt“. Chardon was not the only city that the weather radar showed. Heavy snowfall began in several areas south and east of Cleveland. Paynesville in Lake County also saw significant snow, according to radar. The Ohio Department of Transportation said Interstate 90 in Lake County, east of Ohio, is closed due to snow. Officials said there will be 285 plows on Northeast Ohio roads to deal with the winter storm, even though rain prevented pre-pavement of roadways. Officials warn that roads can be slippery and slippery during trips. Parts of the snow belt could see up to 25 inches of snow.
