The group was founded in 2017 and is led by our Musical Director Hernan Hidalgo. Treviño who is a first generation musician within his family. At the age of 21 , Hernan is the youngest musical director of a mariachi group that New York City has to offer. Graduating from the CUNY of Hunter College as a Music and History major to better prepare himself for the musical and culture of mariachi. Within just the first 2 years, Mariachi Hidalgo has performed in some of New York’s exclusive places.
