Martial Arts Fight Scene ~ Felix Fukuyoshi (菲力) VS. Liu Lian Jie (刘连杰)

Here’s a fight scene that me and a couple of friends shot in Beijing back in 2013. The chinese dude I’m fighting is a MMA fighter who competes professionally. I have never really practiced any MMA (especially grappling) before and so we went for a fairly standard kickboxing style, although we tried to incorporate some grappling and throws here and there. It’s his first fight scene he ever shot and for that he did an impressive job. Camera was done by a friend from Israel who studied cinematography at Beijing Film Academy. Although he has never shot a fight scene before he could easily adapt to the various tricks and trades of shooting fight scenes, very smooth working with him (you can check out some of his work in his channel ’Yaya Rotem’). The fight is obviously part of a short film but I’m not gonna upload it haha. Sorry, I wrote and directed that thing but it just sux big time lol. But the fight is not too shabby and all the work invested shouldn’t be for nothing. So please enj
