Live : Solar Eclipse 2024 | April 8

Solar eclipses always come around two weeks before or after a lunar eclipse. The upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 comes about 15 days after a penumbral lunar eclipse on March 24-25. As far as eclipses go, penumbral lunar eclipses are often unremarkable events. To most casual observers on Earth, the difference between a penumbral eclipse and a regular Full Moon may go unnoticed. However, this shouldn’t discourage you from stepping out on the night of March 24-25. A Full Moon is always a sight to behold, and if you pay close attention, you might see the Moon’s face turn a little darker. The best time to try and catch it is around maximum eclipse, when one edge of the Moon may appear slightly darker than the other.
