The two main themes of the collection are cut out tailored jackets and a chaotic mix of prints. The cut out tailored jackets offer a fresh take on Yohji’s classic layering style by strategically cutting away parts of the outer layer to reveal the inside. The prints are intended to be mixed such that the more you add together, the more insignificant each one becomes on its own. The focus is on the resulting mix not any print in particular, the same way mixing every colour paint makes black. Art and fashion are equally important, garments in the collection were reconstructed to showcase the prints in the best way possible, not just added to decorate.
