Subaru Impreza WRX Engine Rebuild - Impreza Pure sound

Welcome to the next episode of the Subaru Impreza build on my wonderfully random channel :) You can find the links below to most of the products used in this engine restoration. In my previous video you seen seen me restore the engine bay from a rusty crusty mess into a better than new place for the engine to live. So lets crack on and get the engine rebuilt and running. First Job on the list was to fit the new rocker cover gaskets, as stated in the video i use a little RTV silicone in the extreme angles around the cams as his is a know area for these gaskets to leak due to the angle not compressing the same as the rest of the flat surfaces of the gasket. once the gaskets are in i fit new rubber washers to the bolts then torque them all up in the correct sequence so as to get even pressure on all the gasket surfaces. I then moved on to the timing belt cases, its pretty much the same story here new gaskets, washers bolts then torque to spec. I zinc plated and yellow passivated
