It is our first time visiting mainland Mindanao in the Philippines and after starting it off in Davao City we are heading to Mati in Davao Oriental. How to get to Mati - We commuted by bus which took 6 hours! We stayed at sheepys surf resort in Mati which was definitely one of the best places to stay near Dahican beach. After renting a motorbike we visited the sleeping dinasour , Dahican beach and La-ne’s Kalapyahan resort. Dahican beach has some of the bluest water we have ever seen in the Philippines and Mati definitely gave us Siargao vibes with its surfing scene & endless coconut trees. Is Mati the new Siargao?
