Plein air oil demo - "The End of May"

Learn how to paint sunlight on trees in this video. I went out on a beautiful day for some plein air painting. This one was done on the property of a local college. It started out overcast, but quickly turned sunny. I was sure to stick with the clouds I started with to avoid “chasing clouds“, though I did make it more of a sunny scene as the light did come out. I like the rim lighting on the dramatic. I’ll finish this one up in the studio using the liquin impasto gel for textural paint application. Thanks for watching!
