Putin calls NATO expansion in Ukraine a ’red line’ as tension rises
RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin has labelled NATO military infrastructure expansion in Ukraine a ’red flag’ as tensions rise at the Ukraine border.
Russia said it had started regular winter military drills in its southern military district, parts of which border Ukraine, and that 10,000 troops had relocated to training grounds across the huge area.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday (November 30) warned Russia against any aggressive action against Ukraine.
