1 июля 1941 года штурмовики Ил-2 приняли боевое крещение на подступах к Березине и Бобруйску. Простота в пилотировании, мощное вооружение, неуязвимость от огня наземного стрелкового оружия, а частично даже и от огня малокалиберных зенитных пушек, с самого начала войны сделали самолет Ил-2 даже в руках неопытных летчиков грозным средством борьбы с наземными войсками противника, особенно с его танками и мотопехотой. За время Второй мировой войны было выпущено 36 163 машины. Являясь основной ударной силой советской авиации, штурмовик «Ил-2» сыграл выдающуюся роль в войне и оказал заметное влияние на ход боевых действий на советско-германском фронте. ________________________________________________________________ On July 1, 1941, the Il-2 attack aircraft received a baptism of fire on the approaches to Berezina and Bobruisk. Simplicity in piloting, powerful weapons, invulnerability from ground small arms fire, and partly even from the fire of small-caliber anti-aircraft guns, from the very beginning of the war, made the Il-2 aircraft even in the hands of inexperienced pilots a formidable means of combating enemy ground troops, especially with its tanks and motorized infantry. During the Second World War, 36,163 cars were produced. Being the main striking force of the Soviet aviation, the Il-2 attack aircraft played an outstanding role in the war and had a noticeable impact on the course of hostilities on the Soviet-German front.
