LIVE: Protesters demonstrate against COVID restrictions and mandatory vaccination in Vienna

Protesters including COVID sceptics are gathering in Vienna on Saturday, January 29, to demonstrate against coronavirus restrictions and the approval of a mandatory vaccination. On Thursday January 20, Austria became the first European country to legislate for a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine, after the majority of the parliament voted in favour of the bill despite opposition from the right-wing Freedom Party. The mandate will start from February and exclude the population under 19, pregnant women and those with certain medical conditions.
