After relocating to Manchester, UK, he embraced the city’s vibrant electronic music scene, transitioning to production and DJing. Garnering respect in the UK circuit, he’s performed at esteemed festivals and venues. Since 2019, Bipolar Bear has made Da Nang, Vietnam his new home. A tireless advocate for the local scene, he promotes events, curates lineups, and DJs across the region. His sets are known for their intricate yet uplifting blend of cosmic disco, acid tech, and global-infused left-field house. Magicboxengine – Mbe-37-bipolar-bear Akio Nagase DJ/Producer Originally from Osaka, Japan, Akio Nagase has released numerous productions on Japanese labels such as Sound-Channel, Rudiments and jetset since the 1990s. In 2018, he released the DELUSION EP on Chillmountain Records, hosted by Ground, and in 2019, the Like A Acid House EP was released digitally. His music has been well received by international DJs, with Nicola Cruz and Justin Robertson playing Vietnamese Acid. He provided a guest mix for Tim Sweeny’s BIS Radio at in 2020, Funk Bast*rd’s Singapore-based label Darker Than Wax released the Roots Magic EP digitally. In 2021, the single ’Global Acid EP’ is released on Emotional Especial. In 2022, they released their second single ’African Acid EP’ on the same label, further expanding their activities. Participated in the ’EnjoyYourSelf EP’, co-produced by Emotional Especial and Chill Mountain.
