JAC Motors Evolution (1964 - 2022) ►JAC Motors is a Chinese automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer. The company is based in Hefei, Anhui Province, China. Founded in 1964 under the name of Hefei Jianghuai Automobile Factory, it has existed under its current name since 1999. JAC established joint ventures with well-known enterprises, for instance, Volkswagen of Germany, Cummins Engine, and Santander Bank of Spain, and has built cooperative relations with more than 130 countries and regions in the world such as South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. JAC owns two overseas R&D centers in Japan and Italy, and subsidiaries in Russia, Vietnam and Kenya. There are also 19 international industrial bases in Mexico, Kazakhstan and other areas. By the end of 2019, JAC had exported more than 640,000 vehicles. The company produced about 524,000 units in 2021, including 271,800 commercial vehicles and 252,500 passenger vehicles.
