Hello friends and welcome to the Harz National Park, the legendary mountain wilderness in the middle of Germany. Extensive forests, bizarre rocks, millennia-old moors, pristine streams and the majestic mountain Brocken – that’s all the Harz. In this video I take you on a hike on the Devil’s Wall from Timmenrode to Blankenburg. The Devil’s Wall or Teufelsmauer in german is a rock formation made of hard Upper Cretaceous sandstone that runs for 20 km through the Harz. We start in Timmenrode following a hiking trail along the rock formations and on the ridge path on the Devil’s Wall to the Grandfather Rock. The hike there and back takes about 4 hours in total and is about 11 km. Along the way I filmed the most beautiful rock formations and the most beautiful views of the surrounding forests and cities for you. In diesem Video nehme ich euch mit auf eine Wanderung auf der Teufelsmauer von Timmenrode bis nach Blankenburg. Die Teufelsmauer ist eine aus harten Sandsteinen der oberen Kreide bestehende Felsformation, die auf einer Länge von 20 km durch den Harz verläuft. Los geht’s in Timmenrode einen Wanderweg folgend an den Felsformationen entlang und auf dem Kammweg auf der Teufelsmauer bis zum Großvaterfelsen. Die Wanderung hin und zurück dauert insgesamt ca. 4 Stunden und beträgt ca. 11 km. Unterwegs habe ich für euch die schönsten Felsformationen und die schönsten Aussichten auf die umliegenden Wälder und Städte gefilmt.
