Late 1800s | Casting Round Balls for Flintlock Shooting
With ammunition not being easy to find in remote Alaska join us while we cast our own bullets and round balls. Using a technique that’s 100’s of years old, we melt soft lead and pour it into molds of just the right caliber. Lastly we clip off the excess lead called a spruce leaving a projectile that’s ready to be fired.
Of course what’s complete without eggs and bacon on the old wood cook stove. Join in the boy’s fun.
