Boeing 737 engine nacelle chine contrails

The engine nacelle strakes (nacelle chines), aka vortex control devices on the engine nacelle, allow the aircraft to generate more lift at lower speeds. The chine vortices can become visible in humid conditions by forming thin condensation trails flowing over the wing.
