A Quick One, While He’s Away - The Who (The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, 1968)

A Quick One, While He’s Away is a 1966 song in six movements written by Pete Townshend and recorded by the Who for their second album A Quick One. The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus was a concert film hosted by and featuring the Rolling Stones, filmed on 11–12 December 1968. The performance filmed for The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus in 1968, of the Who performing “A Quick One,“ can be seen on that film (released in 1996) and had been shown theatrically in the documentary The Kids Are Alright (1979), the only public viewing of the film until its eventual release. It also appears on both films’ soundtrack albums. The full movie was restored, edited, and finally released on CD and video in 1996. (From Wikipedia)
