On the eve of the Victory Day celebration, servicemen from the Far East have restored more than 30 memorials to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Vostok Group of Forces’ units and the joint mine action detachment carried out work to restore monuments of Soviet soldiers killed during the Great Patriotic War and located in the Donetsk People’s Republic. On the territories of monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in the rear areas of the special military operation, servicemen carried out humanitarian demining, clearing them of unexploded ordnance, restored the appearance of the monuments, and carried out painting and other necessary work to improve them. All the work was carried out on the personal initiative of the military personnel and in agreement with the heads of administration of the settlements.  Russian Defence Ministry Source: MoD Russia
