SO HUMAN OF YOU - Shadow & Bone Animation

Spoilers for the Grisha Trilogy in the video and in the description! Hello! As I said in the previous video, I came across a song that reminded me a lot of a relationship in Shadow & Bone (which has a Netflix adaptation coming out tomorrow!!), and instead of waiting for show footage to come out so I can make some sort of AMV, I decided to animate my own scenes. Let me pretend to be a student for a sec and give yall an artist statement. SO HUMAN OF YOU by Shireen: One of the recurring line in this song is “You think it’s alright to be cruel / That’s so human of you,“ and that reminded me of the Darkling. By all means he’s not human; he’s Grisha, a shadow summoner, the most powerful person in the world. He may have initially had good motives--he wanted to protect the Grisha from the cruelty of mankind--but through the years he has used said power to manipulate and hurt and twist people to his command.
