2025 KAWASAKI VERSYS 1100 OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED | WITH MORE POWER AND FEATURES!!

With three variants—Standard, S, and SE—the new 2025 Versys 1100 has been formally unveiled by Kawasaki Europe. The news validates what we previously reported, which said that the Versys range would receive a bigger engine but wouldn’t see any major stylistic changes from the Versys 1000 models. With the exception of updated artwork and a modest “1100“ on the radiator shrouds, the new Versys visually resembles the 1000. We assume the displacement increase is mostly to help update the Versys to meet Euro5 criteria, since manufacturers usually give a new appearance when making substantial modifications to the engine. This seems like an odd move. Kawasaki kept the bore at 77.0 mm and expanded the stroke by 3 mm to 59.0 mm, but the engine is still an Inline-Four. Compared to the 1,043cc displacement of the previous engine, that equates to a displacement of 1,099cc. Additionally, the compression ratio was raised from the previous 10.3:1 to 11.8:1. Kawasaki claims that the modifications, in addition to updated ECU settings, increase intake flow velocity and increase torque delivery between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm. At 9,000 rpm, Kawasaki claims a peak output of 99 kW (133 hp), which is more than the Versys 1000’s stated 118 horsepower.
