Walters takes on a new case, representing Eugene Patilio / Leap-Frog, who wishes to sue Jacobson for having provided him a faulty supersuit. Walters attempts to speak to Jacobson about compensating Patilio, but is met with hostility. Jacobson is represented by Matt Murdock in court, and manages to win the case due to Patilio inadvertently revealing that he disobeyed Jacobson’s instructions for using the suit. Walters and Murdock later befriend one another in a bar. Afterwards, Patilio contacts Walters asking for help against an unknown assailant. Walters arrives and battles the assailant, who she discovers to be Murdock as his superhero persona Daredevil. Murdock reveals to Walters that Patilio kidnapped Jacobson, and the two work together to rescue the latter. Jacobson forgives Walters for their previous interaction, while Murdock later sleeps with Walters at her home.
