For anyone who had been missing the red-carpet glamour that we have been starved of during the pandemic, this awards season did not disappoint, and last night’s Academy Awards really was the cherry on top of the cake. The ceremony – which took place on a smaller scale than usual but still allowed for nominated stars attend in person – saw some of the most beautiful couture gowns grace the red carpet on actresses including Carey Mulligan, Zendaya, Vanessa Kirby and Amanda Seyfried, where there was no holding back when it came to Hollywood glamour.
