“Return“ // Improvisation for Handpan & Cello // Peter Levitov & John David Eriksen

This improvisation took place a few weeks ago, and was the first time either of us had played with another musician for over a year after a long period of isolation. We were so excited, and nervous, and not quite sure how to even act socially LOL. It was a wonderfully poignant and delicate moment. John David Eriksen is a dear friend and an outstanding cellist and improviser. We have been playing together on and off for nearly a decade now, united by our love for the unexpected joys, delights, and sometimes terrifying expanse of pure improvisation.
